Chat history coming to Microsoft Copilot with commercial data protection (formerly Bing Chat Enterprise) – ON HOLD
The rollout of chat history for Microsoft Copilot with commercial data protection is on hold. It allows users to view and continue past chats. A PowerShell script is available to manage this feature, which will be rolled out in mid to late May 2024. Users must consent to new terms to use chat history, which is stored for 30 days.

The Microsoft Copilot app will soon be available in new Outlook for Windows and the web, with the rollout starting early May 2024 and completing by mid-May 2024. This feature will be enabled by default for users with a Copilot license. No admin action is required before the rollout.

Microsoft Viva is updating the Copilot Dashboard to provide a detailed breakdown of Copilot assisted hours for Viva or Viva Insights subscribers. Microsoft Teams: Shifts plugin for Copilot for Microsoft 365
Frontline Managers can use the Shifts plug-in for Copilot to retrieve insights on shifts, open shifts and time off leveraging data from the Shifts app in addition to user and company data it’s able to access.

Introducing a new meeting option that gives meeting organizers the flexibility to manage which attendees have access to meeting artifacts such as transcript, recording, AI-generated recap, and Copilot. Meeting organizers can select from three options: (1) People with existing access, (2) Organizers and Co-organizers, or (3) Specific People.

Microsoft Copilot for Microsoft 365: Use Draft with Copilot in Microsoft Word based on text, list, or table selections

Microsoft Copilot for Microsoft 365: Relevance Tuning for Graph connectors
Microsoft is introducing Relevance Tuning for Graph connectors in Microsoft Search and Copilot for Microsoft 365, allowing admins to assign importance weights to properties of Graph connections for more relevant search results. General Availability is expected from early to late May 2024. Admins may need to adjust property weights and consult data source owners for optimal relevance ranking. Update to supported languages in Teams Meeting Copilot
Teams Meeting Copilot now supports 16 new languages, making a total of 27 supported languages. Unsupported language responses have been removed to avoid misuse. Rollout begins mid-May 2024, completing by late May. Organizations should prepare by informing users of the supported languages.

Microsoft Copilot (Microsoft 365): Microsoft Viva – Dashboard in Viva Insights to become available with Copilot for Microsoft 365
In the coming months, the Microsoft Copilot Dashboard will become available to all Copilot for Microsoft 365 customers at no additional cost and will not require a Viva or Viva Insights license. Users will be able to access the dashboard in the Viva Insights app in Microsoft Teams or the web app.
Microsoft Copilot (Microsoft 365): Copilot in Forms helps you collect more responses to your surveys or quizzes
Copilot in Forms assists form owners by recommending optimal distribution channels and settings for sending forms or quizzes. This includes leveraging email, social media, and QR codes to maximize the benefits of digital forms and quizzes.

Microsoft Teams: Shifts plugin in Microsoft Copilot for Microsoft 365

New proactive assistance in Copilot
Catch-up is a new experience in Copilot which aims to proactively help users catch up and take action on important updates. It contains a group of cards. Each card has an update related to an important meeting or document. It will work in M365chat and Teams Copilot. It shows up as a tab on the home page.

The Microsoft Copilot Dashboard in Viva Insights will become available with Copilot for Microsoft 365
The Microsoft Copilot Dashboard will be available to all Copilot for Microsoft 365 customers without extra cost or a Viva Insights license. It will be accessible via the Viva Insights app in Teams or the web app, with advanced features requiring a Viva Insights license. Rollout begins in July 2024. Microsoft 365 admins can manage user access, and organizations with less than 10 licenses will have limited dashboard views.
Enhanced notifications for Copilot use without transcription
Microsoft is updating Copilot notifications to clarify its use without transcription, ensuring data is not saved post-meeting. A customizable Privacy Policy link will be added, directing to an internal or default Microsoft Privacy Policy. Rollout begins late May 2024, completion by early June 2024. Introducing Copilot+ PCs

Microsoft Purview compliance portal: eDiscovery – Generate keyword query language from natural language prompt in eDiscovery with Copilot for Security
Copilot for Security is embedded in eDiscovery to enable users to provide a search prompt in natural language and will translate into keyword query language to help expedite the start of an eDiscovery search.

Outlook: New Copilot Compose experience
Major improvements to our Copilot Compose experience include a polished, lightweight UI.
Copilot in Excel chat helper
Customers can get more conversational answers to a broader range of Excel-related questions and prompts from Copilot. For example, the customer can ask how to accomplish a task and Copilot will respond with helpful steps that may include formulas to copy and use. In some cases, Copilot may explain a formula error and supply the corrected formula plus additional guidance to ensure the formula works properly.

Excel – Copilot works on any selection
Copilot will enable the edit box on any worksheet regardless of selection. Copilot will reason over the nearest table or data range to the customer’s selected grid area on the same worksheet.
Excel – Support for Data Ranges Resembling Tables
Copilot can now reason over data ranges with a single row of headers on top, even when they’re not Excel tables.

Evolving Copilot in Windows for your workforce
Based on your feedback, we are evolving Copilot in Windows into a standalone application. With this change, users of Copilot will get the benefits of a traditional app experience such as resizing, snapping, and moving the window. In addition, Copilot will appear at the center of the Windows taskbar, offering a familiar chat experience to help users more efficiently search, create, and collaborate.

Viva Amplify: New Microsoft Copilot Deployment Kit

Microsoft Copilot (Microsoft 365): Highlight and rewrite for draft with Copilot in new Outlook for Windows and web
Similar to Microsoft Word, highlight and rewrite capabilities will allow users to select specific sentences in their email draft and have them rewritten by Copilot. Using highlight and rewrite when drafting with Copilot in Outlook, users will be able to give detailed instructions on how to rewrite and be able to modify tone and length. This feature will be available in the new Outlook for Windows and web.
PowerPoint: Microsoft Copilot (Microsoft 365) – Copilot can create presentations from a PDF file
Copilot in PowerPoint will now be able to support automatically generating a presentation based on a PDF file. This is in addition to the existing support for automatically generating a presentation based on a Word document.
